Suid.: hence metaph., imitation, reflection, Theopomp.Hist.367 ([etym.] ἀνθ-).II ἀντήλια, τά, = παρήλια, parhelia, Suid., cf. Men.511.2 screens or parasols, Eust.1281.3; also, blinkers on horses' bridles, Poll.10.54 ([etym.] ἀνθ-), Eust.1562.39.—The [dialect] Ion. form ἀντήλιος is always used in Trag.; ἀνθήλιος first in Theopomp. l.c., cf. Ph.1.656, Placit.3.6.
